Join valley leaders to learn about water!
The Water Counts Academy is a program offered once a year to current and emerging leaders in the Coachella Valley who want to learn about the lifeblood of our community—its water resources.
Session One: Introductions, Local Water Overview, Water Conservation
February 6, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Session Two: Groundwater, Imported Water
February 13, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Session Three: Water Quality, Recycled Water, Wastewater
February 20, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Session Four: Agriculture, Economics of Water
February 27, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Tour: Valleywide Water Infrastructure
March 3, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
This year’s program will be offered to selected applicants with no tuition/fees. Classes will be held in Palm Desert and meals will be provided.
