Our Event Host & Partner
The Sacred Grounds of the Unitarian Universalist church in Rancho Mirage are a beautiful collection of demonstration native habitats, open to the public.
The Sacred Grounds project of the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Desert provides habitat for our native species. Replicating several habitats, including Desert Canyon, Creosote Scrub and Blow Sand, the large grounds are free and open to the public. A butterfly garden and a hummingbird garden provide in-season beauty and help our pollinators, and a labyrinth helps settle our souls. The highly educational gardens include extensive signage to encourage residents to create native habitats in their own backyards.
