Serra Gardens Talk and TourJoin us on January 26 for a Talk and Tour of Serra Gardens wholesale succulent nursery in Fallbrook for our Desert Horticultural Society of the Coachella Valley members.
Serra Gardens is known for its Aloe collection and they should be in beautiful bloom in January. A few of us had a private tour there last Spring and were entranced by the number of beautiful aloes and other interesting succulents, some of which are hard to find. They have over 300 varieties of aloes, agaves and other succulents on 5 acres in beautiful Fallbrook. Don and Beth Newcomer moved their long-lived nursery and stock from a Malibu canyon a number of years ago to the rolling hills of Fallbrook and the plants have thrived in their new environment.
We will have more information on the talk at a later date and we can accommodate about 28 members. This field trip will be open to members only. Serra Gardens usually has great monthly specials and they will give our members a 10% discount on the day for purchases. We love it when your guest’s become members!
After our tour and shopping delight we can head into Fallbrook and have some lunch at the Firehouse Que and Brew (sounds fun) 760-645-3729. Anyone that is interested in pots can stop at the Madd Potter on the way home. We will probably head home around 3pm.
Click here for a map of the day.
For those who would like to carpool we will leave from the Wellness Park in Palm Springs at 9am.
Hope to see you there!
