Quarterly Meeting - New Date!

We hope everyone loved our 13th Annual Desert Garden Community Day this past Saturday. We had a fantastic day, more attendees than every, super excited speakers and community partners who told me how engaged our audiences were, wonderful volunteers and board members to whom we are so grateful! Onto next year.

We moved our October meeting to November 7 to make it more accessible to our snow bird members and let us focus on garden day. Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) has graciously provided us with one of their speakers, Donald Ackley, for next week's meeting. Don's presentation will focus on his research on water conservation in our golf sector.

Please join us in learning about the latest technologies and ideas being used to make this large economic segment in our community more responsive to conservation. Conservation both in water savings but also in golf course design and landscape methods.

Plant exchange starts at 5:30pm followed by a short member meeting at 6pm. Don's talk will follow around 6:15pm.

See you next week at UCR Palm Desert, please park in Lot B. The plant exchange will be by the front entrance and the meeting/talk will be upstairs in B200.

Marie will be manning the membership table where you can renew or become a member. We are also taking donations for our Seeds for Scholarships program, all donations over $5 receive a desert wildflower packet of native seeds from the Theodore Payne Foundation.

See you next week!!!
