We will travel by Luxury Motor coach, with a morning water and snack provided. You will need to bring a picnic lunch unless otherwise stated in the notice, and any snack or water for your return trip. All tours are self guided, unless otherwise noted. Bus pick-ups are throughout the valley and you'll be asked about this when you reserve your spot with ACT. They'll provide the time you need to be at the stop as well.

Descanso Gardens is an urban retreat of year-round beauty, internally renowned botanical collections and spectacular seasonal horticultural displays. The 150 acre complex is located in La Canada Flintridge, La County. Hidden in the heart of Pasadena for decades, the once private Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden underwent a historic restoration and is now a place of special beauty.

Destination: Storrier Stearns Japanese GardenThe Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden is a beautiful and charming retreat with a quiet and tranquil elegance. As Kendall Brown states in his book, California Japanese-style Gardens, “this is the genius of Kinzuchi Fujii: this was once a flat area of two tennis courts; now it is a masterwork.” In addition to the authentic teahouse, the garden landscape offers a variety of other beautiful details.
