About the Gardens

Located in the foothills of the Box Springs Mountains on the east side of the University of California, Riverside Campus, the Gardens covers 40 hilly acres. Come visit our collection and gardens, wander over four miles of scenic trails, or just relax on a bench and enjoy the beauty and vistas. Getting there

Drive yourself

There is parking available at the Gardens entrance. You can also visit the website for any additional information about the Gardens. A note to remember, you will be driving during commute traffic in the morning to Riverside. The drive is about 1 hour and fifteen minutes. Those visiting the Gardens who have never been to the Mission Inn in Riverside might consider making lunch reservations after the tour is over.

Carpooling

For those individuals who do not want to drive themselves, we will organize car pools leaving Palm Springs at 8:30 AM. We will meet at the Walmart Parking lot in Palm Springs off Ramon Road at 8:15 AM.

We will be in the rear area of the Walmart Parking lot, across from the Starbucks and Canes! I will be in a silver Blue Subaru with a balloon flying from my car.

When responding and signing up for the tour, please indicate if you can provide a car pool vehicle and ride to other individuals, or that you are looking to car pool. A return confirmation of your response to attend the Field Trip will be sent after receipt of your email and request. I will be your guide and present to answer any questions during the Field Trip.
