Noted local expert Robin Kobaly, M.S. Biology of the Power of Plants speaks at the Plant Yoda’s Den, Morongo Valley.
In this engaging workshop, you will learn how to plant, irrigate, and care for a native plant garden, as well as being introduced to some of the most beautiful native plants now available in nurseries. In the classroom, we will explore why native plants are the perfect choice for southwest homes, how to recognize a desert-friendly drought-adapted plant, and why their adaptations are so important for a sustainable, enjoyable, and low-maintenance landscape.
We will present with graphics and with live samples the great diversity of beautiful plants native to our area that can fulfill all your landscaping needs. When we move outside to the half-acre demonstration garden, you will see over one hundred examples of mature desert native plants in an inviting home landscape setting, and view first-hand the many benefits of native plant gardening.
Robin Kobaly is a great friend to Desert Horticultural Society of the CV and one of the most popular speakers at our annual Desert Community Garden Day.
