UCCE Advisor in Los Angeles will be speaking on How to Select and Care for Palms in the Desert. Hodel is a world-renowned palm expert who has authored six books (four of them about palms) including The Biology and Management of Landscape Palms.

UCCE Specialist at UCR will be speaking on Palmageddon: The Wasting of Palms by the South American Palm Weevil. Hoddle is an entomologist who specializes in arthropod pests that attack ornamental and agricultural plants.
