Take a tour of a local olive grove an hours' drive from Palm Springs. Since it is harvest time there could be a special event involved. The opportunity to view the first pressing and tasting of the different oils produced. Tickets are $35  and will be purchased by attendees at the event site.
The admission fee includes a rustic catered lunch
This is a marvelous opportunity to experience how something we commonly use comes from the field into our kitchen pantry. Open to DHSCV members (free plus event ticket) and their guests ($10 each plus event ticket). Friends have taken the tour and say it is one of the best tours they have ever taken.
